Movie Night of Extreme Sports

I sat in the train, on my way to the unicycle convention called "Wunschkonzert", a freestyle convention in Germany. Suddenly my phone rang, and a so-called Daniel from the Movie Night of Extreme Sports was on the phone. Why did he called me? Well...
I made this movie called Union in 2006. As a unicyclist knew the people from the Movie Night of Extreme sports, I got the chance to send them a 3 minute version of my movie, hoping that they would use it in their movie. And they loved our part!
So, back to the phone call...
Daniel was a very friendly guy, and he invited me and David to come to the premiere of their movie. He assured me, that the only thing we had to do was to come to "Ischgl", a village in Austria where only the rich and the beautiful go skiing. They would take care for the rest. Wow.
7 hours driving for a weekend in Ischgl?

That was quite an offer. But was it worth 7 hours in the car (one way)? As I had to go to Cambridge (UK) for one week right before the weekend in Ischgl, I was a little bit sceptic, but I assured him, that we would make our best to come. So I re-scheduled my flight, re-booked the hotel in Cambridge, and was ready for the 7 hour drive. David and Gabriele were also invited, so there was no way back :)
So... After quite a horrible flight from Cambridge to Vienna I came home in the middle of the night, had a shower and went to bed. Friday Morning I packed my stuff (it was quite a lot, as they wanted us to have our unicycles with us), took Gabriele and David with me and drove the 7 hours to Ischgl. To be more precise it was Galtür, a village next to Ischgl. After the check-in we got to know all the cool and friendly people from the MovieSoundEvent Agentur, which is the Agency that produces the movie.
That was a really fun evening, we got to know each other, drank some beers and had good fun.

On saturday we made our snowboards and ski's ready, went up to the beautiful mountains of ischgl to make some nice photos, do some good skiing and watch the premiere in the weird but awesome pardorama building!
We started with some unicycling pictures, ended in doing a big group picture and finally watched the movie and ran a little unicycle show afterwards. What a day! We ended up in the hotel drinking some beers and discussing about all kinds of extreme sports.

Let me say it in one sentence: The Movie was GREAT! It included so many sports (16 extreme sports in one movie!), tons of good music, great filming and really cool stunts. And hey - I don't say that, because my movie is in there, I say that because I liked all the other sports shown. Great Work Katja, very well done Matze, really well organized, Daniel.
Thank you for that unforgettable weekend. We'll show up next year - at least for the movie in the cinema!
